Kawa of care

We were reminding ourselves about how we look after our Chromebooks today. This is our Kawa of Care. We had a visitor in Room 10, as well as Mrs Grant, supporting us to create a comic collage using Google Drawings.  Miss Campbell was visiting from Greymouth (on the west coast of the South Island) to find out about our Manaiakalani digital learning journey.

  1. Kia ora, talofa lava Room 10,
Thank you for sharing your Kawa of Care learning. Your instructions for looking after your Chromebooks are very helpful. We like the way you have created comic collages to share your tips. Using photos and callouts are really interesting to look at. Have you learnt how to create a strong password? We could help you with that, let us know.

  3. Kia Ora Room 10 and Mrs Buchanan,
Thank you all so much for allowing me to spend time with you, you are an awesome, friendly, hard-working class. I enjoyed learning about the Kawa of Care for Chromebooks from you all. Your completed posters using Google Drawing look fantastic, I can see you've all worked hard to show your understanding of how to handle your Chromebooks with care. You've all selected effective colours, font styles, and speech bubbles to convey your ideas, and its great to see all of your smiling faces again in the photos. Keep challenging yourselves in your learning, I'm looking forward to seeing your password posters on your class blog soon.

    1. Thank you for coming and spending another Cybersmart session working with us. It was wonderful to see you again. We have been busy sharing our learning and skipping over the last few days so our password posters will be ready to add to our blog early in Term 3. Good luck as you share all your new learning with your students in Greymouth.
